Our Mission In Profocus

PROFOCUS –Uganda’s mission is to “Participate as principal actors in setting up an enabling environment that will foster increased and sustainable welfare of communities at thecommunity, sub-county and district level. We factor in vulnerable groups of women, children and the other socially disadvantaged groups. “ Client Service Driven -We anticipate our client's needs, advance their priorities and meet their expectations. Our Vision In Profocus

At Profocus Limited Consultants, we aim to provide long-term innovations and re-engineered products through consultancy and research so as to provide clients with feasible solutions from the value-added deliverables.

Our projects usually undergo scrutiny of any government agency or development partner seeking transparency as a pre-requisite. We believe in the policy of public- private sector partnership in order to harness productive synergies. We therefore handle our clients in a professional manner so as maximize resource utilization and thereby boosting overall project value.

Professor Emmanuel Kasimbazi (born.1964) obtained LLB from the University of Dar es salaam, Tanzania, Diploma in Legal Practice from LDC, Kampala, Uganda, LLM from the University of Calgary, Canada, PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. He is a Professor in the Department of Public and Comparative Law at the School of Law and Chair, Environmental Law Centre at Makerere University. He is an international legal consultant, researcher. He has acted as the Dean of School of Law, Makerere University. Professor Kasimbazi conducted projects for the Government of Uganda, World Bank, African Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), European Union, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UN Habitat, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Danish International Development Agency (DIDA). He has widely published in areas of international law, environmental law, water law, energy law, criminal law and forestry law.

ALEX NABWISO

Legal Consultant

Alex Nabwiso is Legal and Policy Consultant, and Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, and Lecturer at Cavendish University Uganda. He holds a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) from Makerere University Kampala, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre Kampala, a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax and Revenue Administration from the East African School of Taxation Kampala, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the Islamic University In Uganda. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society. He has expertise in International law, Environmental and Natural Resources law, and Corporate and Commercial law. He has played vital roles on several consultancy projects in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia and Eswatini.

Mubangizi Abby

Operations Manager

LLB (Hons) Dip LP (LDC) He is an advocate holding an LLB from Bishop Stuart University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (First Class). He cofounded the establishment of the Expedition online talk show in 2020. He has worked with the Centre for Participatory Research (CEPARD) as a researcher, and is a member of the Uganda Civil Society Coalition against Malaria (UCAAM).
